Children’s Ministry
Mike Black Ministries Has A Big Heart For Children
Children’s Clubs
Our children’s outreach consists of dynamic Bible teaching, songs with a lot of action and worship, skits, puppets, energetic games, crafts and food. We have two distinct programs with about 175 to 200 Indigenous children in each one, and a team of 15 children workers. Apart from the spiritual aspect of these programs, we also reinforce educational skill and personal hygiene. Our vision has been to pull in un-churched children off of the streets and offer them a place of refuge and fun.
Some facts about the children
Children in underdeveloped countries are neglected. Here in Guatemala, it’s no different. The culture does not pay attention to children, much less to its spiritual needs. Why? Poverty, high mortality rate, violence, lack of jobs and little education creates tremendous instability within the family and society, which does not give the culture time to think about children. We think about them and offer our Children’s Club as a place where they can forget about reality for a few hours and receive attention and love.
We are in the public school teaching the Bible
Since January 2008, we have been teaching a Bible course in the elementary school in the town where we have one of our Children’s Club. This is a “Bible Alive” program that teaches the major stories and characters of the Bible through props and animated acting. The kids get dressed up in simple costumes and the teachers move them around as actors. We are with about 250 kids once a week.

If you would like to help us with the children, this would be a great place
