Update August 2008

To our Esteemed Friends of the ministry,

Receive our warmest appreciation for the friendship and confidence that you continue to deposit in Pat and I and our Mike Black Ministries staff.  It is our greatest desire that God helps you to overcome whatever is hindering the spiritual breakthrough that you need for your life.  We are with you 100%.

Mike and Pat.

News:

In June, the opportunity arose to visit several Pastors in the States with whom we have had long term relations.  My time with them was very fulfilling for me.  It was precious to be with men of God who are still running the race and persevering for the prize.

To all of our Pastor friends in the United States, Pat and I send our deepest love and thoughts of encouragement.  Keep up the good work.

In July, we had the privilege of hosting two short term mission groups from East Coast Christian Center, Merrit Island, Florida.

Here are some details:

First group from ECCC          Our first group came to Guatemala to visit and distribute some 2600 lbs. of food to 300 families in a refugee camp.  These people are the survivors of a mammoth mudslide that buried 1000 people alive during a hurricane that passed through Guatemala about 3 years ago.  Here are photos.

Apart from that work of love, the church family of East Coast Christian Center purchased and collected 500 pairs of new shoes for our newest children’s outreach in the remote mountains of Guatemala.  Here are some photos.  Continue…

Our second group from ECCC helped to remodel our ministry center and work with our kids.  This group consisted of young people mostly between the ages of 13 to 16, with the exception of a few older young people.  We painted, laid some concrete for the parking lot and erected a high security wall for the center.  Here is a photo <.

In conclusion:

The last couple of months have been very beneficial for all of us and the work of the ministry.  We all need to pull together in our efforts to reach the nations through missions.

We love you and the world needs you.

Pastor-Missionary Mike Black.

Dear friends and partners,

As it is our custom, we would like to bless you and always let you know how much we appreciate you and your friendship with us.

Missions and missionaries are a vital segment of God’s global plan for all people.  Your mission field is just outside the door of your house; my mission field is in the middle of Central America, where Pat and I, including so many of you, have helped us to:
