Update – September 2016

Dear Friends:

For God is our witness that without ceasing Pat and I make mention of you always in our prayers. It’s a small way we can sow back into your lives!

We had some family time with Bart here in Guatemala

Our son, Bart, came down to visit us a few weeks ago. We did a number of things as a family but mostly related to our work here in Guatemala.

Washing dishes at our Feeding Program, El Rejón

Now that we’re feeding a new group of children

… we have to pay for it. This program in Piedra Ancha is in one of the neediest areas that we have been to besides the city dump where the people live and eat what they find. We are feeding about 125 children once a week and we have just extended a plate of food to the older people, 75 years old and up, as well as to the widows.  It is God’s pleasure to share this with both of these age groups.

Our first month, we had no tables

Our second month, we made some tables and brought them up.

Now that the program is set up… it cost us $670 – per month to maintain this great project. We are going up to Piedra Ancha once a month to drop off food supplies and bottles of gas for the program.  The drive is a hard and dirty 4 hour trip each way and dangerous when we come home at night.

This feeding program is a great place to financially invest.  All donations will be a blessing to us and the kids. Please consider helping us feed this children. Thank you.
