Update February 2021

Some personal thoughts with a Godly perspective

Getting through the political climate in January was rather rough for me and Pat, maybe for you as well. I remember waking up in the morning, so grieved that I sat on my bed and wept for America.

“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.”

Proverbs 29:2

Pat and I have entered into a place where intercession for all that are in authority is our greatest patriotic contribution to our America. 1Timothy  2:1-2.

Two cars stolen in our lifetime

Pat and I went to visit our two sons in Colorado towards the end of January . The night before my arrival, our stateside car was stolen in front of Bart’s condo. To make a long story short, it was recovered 3 days later with minimal damage.

A week later, the thieves came back to check us out. Our car is now being stored somewhere else and our time was consumed with all the details of this robbery. We are now back in Guatemala.

While in Denver

We had the opportunity to share about our work in Guatemala with a great church called “Word Alive”.  We deeply feel honored with these kinds of opportunities.  May God bless this church and all the other great churches that support our work.

So happy to be feeding kids

Every Saturday since the pandemic started and Guatemala closed its  borders in March of 2020, we were able to find a way to  provide a decent snack and a Bible lesson to our 60 kids in our Piedra Ancha  project. We will be going up there in about two weeks to share the Word and bless the kids.

Apart from this program, we are resuming our Feeding Program in El Rejon, in March.  Our distribution of food will be “take out”.

We have started replacing the roof on our ministry center

Our church the “Revival Center” is now in a project to rebuild and replenish what Covid has stolen from our congregation.

Social Media changes

I left Facebook in January and if you would like to get ahold of me, or send me a special picture, I’m available at anytime and I’m still using WhatsApp, but I am also now using Telegram. My email: mikeblackguate@hotmail.com

If you speak Spanish, you can listen to some of my teachings on our YouTube Channel “Centro de Avivamiento” (Tap here).

In conclusion

We love and appreciate you. Thank you for your prayers and financial blessings. There is not a day that goes by that Pat and I do not pray for you.Love,

Missionaries / Pastors Mike and Pat
